Nursery ManagerNurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent Ofsted rated “Outstanding” Day Nursery who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their quality purpose-built setting based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will manage, mentor and support other members of the nursery staff team and ensure that the physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care provided to children in the nursery is of the highest standard.

Main duties and responsibilitiesEnsure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

·        To work with the directors in developing and keeping under review a curriculum, programme of activities and policies which will ensure that the education and care are of the highest standard and which, where appropriate, will deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage·        To be familiar with and ensure that the nursery policies, curriculum and programme are put into practice.

·        To manage and support all members of the staff team to ensure that all staff are encouraged to reach their full potential·        To work in partnership with parents / carers and other family members and to ensure that their views are both solicited and brought to the attention of the directors·        To be responsible for the day-to-day management of Health and Safety within the nursery·        To represent, and act as an ambassador for, the nursery and to ensure that all staff work together to develop and maintain the nursery’s reputation as a centre of excellenceFor this position you are required to have:Early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with preference for degree qualified practitionersExperience in a Nursery manager capacityUnderstanding of special educational needs and equality of opportunityPaediatric first-aid and food hygiene trainedExperience in providing staff trainingThe successful applicant will receive a host of benefits including a very competitive salary!
