The Role:

Assist the Business Senior Leadership Team (specifically SMF 3, 18 & 24) to assess and manage its operational risk following the Group’s model for the management of operational risk and with the support of the Operational Risk Control Department

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Senior OPC Manager in the development of the Risk Framework across the 1st Line of defence teams.
• Represent the Governance teams at relevant Business & Operations Forums.
• Complete Risk Mapping tasks – Identify & assess risks of which the generic risk is provided to BNP Paribas Personal Finance Central Function.
• Control procedures – Adapt the generic procedures and define and formalise the local procedures.
• Support with Incident Management – Identify & quantify incidents including Fraud & report incidents to the ORM team.
• Contribute to the analysis of the incident – root causes & effects on both the business and its customers.
• On a case-by-case basis support with the Control of essential services providers and assist in the identification of operational risk associated with new products/service providers.
• Act as the 1st Level of Control – adapt the generic controls & design specific controls then perform the controls, and report attention points to the Senior Leadership and ORM teams.

Skills & Attributes:

• Well-spoken, articulate & Punctual.
• Experience in an Operational Risk Control role or Similar Analytical roles (Must)
• Understanding of the department operating model.
• Understanding of Operational Risk.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Basic understanding of the FCA’s role and the TCF, Conduct Risk and Data Protection Principles (Desirable)
• Ability to analyse and write clear summary reports (Desirable).
• Ability to make informed decisions based on the information available.
• Diligent & Accurate
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly analytical & experience in working towards tight deadlines.
• A self–motivated individual who can apply their initiative to the role.
