Packaging Controller in Birmingham

About the Role

DP World have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Packaging Controller at our site in Coleshill. This position will support the packaging technician by monitoring stock, obtaining approvals, revising packaging guidelines, and coming up with improvement proposals.

Note :

• Due to the nature of the role, this is an onsite position working Monday to Friday.
• This is a 12 month FTC

How you will contribute

• Provide leadership support to packaging and continuous improvement initiatives at the individual work cell level including packaging studies to analyse effectiveness of the packaging system, development of packaging standards and improvements to existing packaging.
• Work alongside JLR to identify best fit solutions when shortages arrive.
• Suggest improvement ideas for more cost-effective packaging.
• Monitor packaging materials and coordinate with vendors on daily releases and inventories.
• Provide weekly Packaging Inventory updates and recommendations based on usage.
• Review and update the Packaging Instructions/methods in AOS and SAP.

What you will bring

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• To have had experience in the automotive industry would be beneficial.
• To have had experience in the supply chain industry would be beneficial.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office products including in depth knowledge of Excel.
• Working knowledge in SAP is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills
