The Pharmaxo Group comprises of:Bath ASU which produces thousands of aseptically (sterile) compounded injectable pharmaceutical products each day for hospitals and patients who are fighting cancer, living with chronic disease or in need of pain relief.Pharmaxo Healthcare which is a growing clinical homecare provider in an expanding market offering greater convenience to patients whilst delivering efficiencies to the NHS.Pharmaxo Scientific which develops the innovations in biotechnology, data and information technology that drive our businesses.About youWe are looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual with a proven track record of working within a Quality Assurance Officer role within a fast-paced environment.  You should have at least 2 years’ experience of working under GMP or have a degree within a science discipline.  Knowledge and understanding of GMP with excellent communication and organisation skills are essential for this role.To undertake this role, you should have good problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and be adaptable and willing to learn new skills.  The successful candidate must have the confidence to give and seek advice when dealing with complex problems.  Knowledge and understanding of the principles of QA and previous experience of product release are desirable but not essential as full training and development will be given.We are looking for a proficient QA Officer who is a member or eligible to be a member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry or Institute of Biology, GPhC, Science Council.Your duties & responsibilitiesThe final review of pre-manufacture batch documentation, following GMP guidelines.The Approval for Use (final release) of all products manufactured or repackaged according to licensing requirements, GMP and professional discretionBeing the primary point of contact as part of the QA team providing information to other departments dealing with the production processes.Undertaking continuing professional development and attend any suitable training and update courses as deemed necessary and ensure a high level of competency is achieved.Ensuring that staff comply with GMP, COSHH and Health and Safety regulations and departmental SOP’s.Participating in any rota system that may operate within the product release team in order to deliver our service commitments.Highlighting any non-conformances to the relevant personnel.Supporting the QA team to include all parts of the Quality Management System that is in place to ensure we continue to develop activities and policies aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the service.The skills & attributes you will bringYou will have great attention to detail even when performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environmentAble to work with a range of diverse colleaguesSelf-motivated and energetic, showing interest in understanding the business and industryA good influential diplomatOrganised, reliable and flexible and be able to work to deadlinesA very strong and clear communicatorPassionate for creating solutions with a positive attitude to changeComputer literateWorking hours37.5 hours per week on rolling shift pattern operating between 07:00 and 20:00 Monday-Friday, and between 07:00 and 14:30 on Saturdays.In return we offer rewards and benefits including:Salary: £27,000 per annumAnnual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years service)Annual company bonus scheme (subject to scheme eligibility)Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%).
