Job Description: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our project management and cost consulting endeavors.

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that costs are managed effectively and budgets are adhered to without compromising on quality.

Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.

The role is specifically within their hospitality division, so experience working on hotel schemes is vital for the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities: 1.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Utilize your expertise to accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.

Develop comprehensive budgets and monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.

Tendering Process: Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value for our clients while maintaining high-quality standards.

3.

Cost Control: Implement robust cost control measures to track project expenses and identify potential cost overruns.

Proactively identify areas for cost savings and value engineering without compromising project objectives.

4.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.

Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimize their impact on project costs and timelines.

5.

Quantity Surveying: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements to accurately assess project requirements and quantities.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure that materials and resources are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.

6.

Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, including issuing variations, assessing claims, and resolving disputes in accordance with contractual obligations and industry best practices.

7.

Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project costs, budget variations, and financial forecasts.

Build strong relationships with clients based on trust, transparency, and professionalism.

8.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate reports, financial forecasts, and progress assessments to keep stakeholders informed about project financial performance.

Maintain detailed records of project costs, variations, and contractual agreements.

Requirements: 1.

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Professional certification (RICS, AIQS, etc.

) is preferred.

2.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, ideally within the hotels sector, with a strong understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and contract administration.

3.

Proficiency in quantity take-off software, cost estimation tools, and project management software (e.

g.

, CostX, Bluebeam, Procore).

4.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

5.

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

6.

Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and relevant legislation.

7.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial calculations and documentation.

8.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
