About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Secondary School Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Derby.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-prepared work is completed and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources, following the school's policies and procedures.

Manage student behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.

Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues arising during the lesson.

Support the overall ethos and objectives of the school.

• Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check registered to the update service.

• Referenceable experience working with children.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
