00 Per dayBenefits: PAYEQualifications: Level 3 TASkills: Learning support, SEN, Autism, SEMH, Manual handling, PECS, Phonics, Speech and languageJob Duties:Provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN)Assist in creating and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for studentsSupport students in their academic and social developmentAdapt teaching materials and techniques to meet the unique needs of each studentAssist with classroom management and behaviour strategiesCollaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and deliver effective learning programmesProvide one-on-one or small group support to studentsHelp students with personal care tasks, as requiredMonitor and track student progress, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardiansRequired Qualifications:Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualificationExperience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)Knowledge of learning support strategies and techniquesExperience:Prior experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)Experience with KS1/KS2 Experience working in a primary environmentKnowledge and Skills:Strong understanding of learning support strategiesFamiliarity with SEN, Autism, SEMH, and speech and language difficultiesAbility to effectively manage classroom behaviour and provide individualised supportProficiency in manual handling techniquesKnowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and PhonicsPreferred Qualifications:Additional certifications in SEN support or related fieldsExperience using assistive technology in the classroomWorking Conditions:The SEN Teaching Assistant will primarily work in an educational setting, such as a school or specialised learning centre.
The role involves regular interaction with students with special educational needs, teachers, and other professionals.
The assistant may need to assist with personal care tasks and implement proper manual handling techniques.
The work schedule is full-time, and the position is temporary in nature.
The assistant will be expected to follow the policies and procedures of the school or organisation they are employed by.
