Apply NowSEN Teaching Assistant Location: South East England, Surrey, West MoleseySalary: £83 - £95 Per dayA new SEN school in West Molesey is opening it's doors in September 2024 and is currently looking for a number of Teaching Assistants who want to be part of their exciting journey!
The school is a specialist provision for pupils with ASD and associated needs, and will initially have just 4 year groups, providing education for pupils aged 11-15, growing each September until there are pupils from 4-18 years old.
Class sizes are maximum 11 pupils.
Hours are 08:30-15:15.
Both full-time and part time opportunities available.
Job Duties:Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and developmentAssisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for studentsProviding one-on-one support to students with SEN during lessons and activitiesHelping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsAssisting with the assessment and monitoring of students’ progressCommunicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students’ careRequired Qualifications:Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and MathsExperience working with children or young people with SENKnowledge and Skills:Understanding of special educational needs and different learning stylesAbility to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesPatience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting studentsOrganisational skills and the ability to work as part of a teamWorking Conditions:Work in a school setting with regular classroom hoursPotential for some outdoor activities or off-site visitsInteraction with students, teachers, parents, and other professionalsAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.
