Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) Location: Sheffield Start Date: September Type: Full-Time About Us: Tradewind Recruitment are working with a dynamic and inclusive school located in Sheffield, committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for all their students.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs.

Coordinate and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure they are effectively delivered.

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' learning and development.

Provide professional guidance to colleagues on SEN best practices and interventions.

Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN and report to senior leadership.

Stay up-to-date with the latest SEN policies, procedures, and educational research.

Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant SENCO qualification or equivalent.

Proven experience in a SENCO role or substantial experience working with children with special educational needs.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.

Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
