Empowering Learning are looking for a SEND Cover Supervisor to work across SEND schools in Nottingham and potentially the wider East midlands. This is an opportunity for those with education experience to work with flexibility between support and leading roles. Experience working in a school setting is essential and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. The ideal candidate will:Have experience of teaching or support roles within educationBe highly organised with excellent communication skillsThe ability to be flexible to requirements of the schoolsHave a desire to work with, inspire and support childrenHave an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SENDHave experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)Be able to supply school with teaching references Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environmentHave an understanding of behavioural managementMain Responsibilities:Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the classCovering pre-set lessons in a classroom lead roleSupporting children during lessons/school activitiesSupporting staff/children during lunch and break timesManaging pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
