Job Overview

Keplin Group is seeking an experienced Senior Freight Forwarder to manage both international and domestic freight operations.

This role is essential for ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and efficient transport solutions, focusing heavily on international sea freight, customs clearance, and local and European haulage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise international and domestic freight operations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with shipping lines and haulage companies to secure favourable terms and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Lead customs clearance processes in coordination with HMRC, ensuring all procedures are correctly followed.
• Responsible for verifying and proof-checking all Harmonised System (HS) codes and managing duty-related tasks to ensure accuracy in tariff classifications and compliance with global trade regulations.
• Address logistic issues swiftly, maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilise advanced logistics software and systems for shipment tracking and documentation management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding with expertise in international sea freight and customs operations.
• Deep understanding of HS codes, tariff classifications, and duty regulations.
• Strong negotiation, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
