Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Belfast

Park Elliott, are working in collaboration with our esteemed partner, a leading Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy based in Belfast, who are committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the construction industry.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with the potential to swiftly transition into a Director level position.

As a key member of a well-established team, you will report directly to the current Directors of the firm and play a pivotal role in leading multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering services across all RIBA stages for various construction projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, health, and education sectors.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes within established timelines.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, architects, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and exceed expectations.
• Mentor and guide team members, encouraging professional growth and development, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to support business development initiatives to continue long-term client relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design and project management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of building services, HVAC systems, sustainability principles, and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Strategic mindset with the capacity to identify opportunities for business growth and drive innovation.
