Senior Quantity Surveyor in Wakefield

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Wakefield – Multi Utilities - up to £65k + car/allowanceWe have a great new opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a successful, growing multi utility company, who are part of a £multi billion company.

They have a number of offices across the UK, however this role will be based out of their Wakefield Office.

They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the construction industry, preferably in civils - if you have experience working the utility construction industry with an understanding of gas, water and electric distribution infrastructures then that’s even better!

They also need you to have knowledge of/ experience of administering NEC and ECC contracts.

Projects you would be working on include: Overhead lines, construction of substations, HV installation maintenance.

Project values range from £20k - £13m, with average projects being around £500k - £1m.

Works can be for petrochemical and pharmaceutical clients, solar and wind farms, and they also carry out works under long standing framework agreements giving a solid foundation of future works.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you would be working on multiple of varying scales and timescales, with responsibility for all elements of contracts management, subcontract management, change control, reporting and forecasting.

You would also be overseeing more Junior members of the Commercial Team, allocating work, mentoring and developing the team and developing their capabilities.

They offer hybrid working with 2 days from home, and 3 in the office with site visits as and when required.

The salary available is up to £65k with car scheme/car allowance and discretionary bonus.

They offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
