Site EngineerLocation – SwindonMain ResponsibilityRole involves supporting survey works and bridge refurbishment and replacement schemes.Role would involve following small programmes of work, preparing documentation such as WPP, TBS, permits and Inspection & Test Plans.Responsibilities would include completing and collating quality documentation on site following ITPs and liaising with subcontractors with regards execution of ITP on site.As Site Engineer you will be checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications.You will be making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project and carry out any setting, levelling out and surveying required on site.Ensure proposed construction plans are safe, cost effective, and achievableAssist the Lead Engineer in improving productivity and introducing innovationCarry out risk assessments as part of design and construction workCarry out analysis, prepare plans/programmes, review or check Particular Specification, undertake detailed planning, site visits and progress work as directed.Work as directed by the Section EngineerRequirements The perfect candidate will hold the relevant Construction qualifications and have experience working on Civil Engineering / Rail projects.You will be proficient with setting techniques and equipment,Have a working knowledge of health and safety & HR procedures.WPP, TBS, permits and Inspection & Test PlansExperience of signing ITP’sSound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulationsFully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments“VGC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
