As a Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will include: Creating Software control for laser diagnostic instruments and devicesWriting software that controls sub-systems via HMI's Supporting the Orion laser team with any software issues Writing technical documentation to meet customer requirements, as required Ensuring high quality of the work you deliver Accountable for the safety of all aspects of work you carry out Whilst not considered a checklist, candidates would benefit from having the following:An ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experienceAt least one Software programming system / language, preferably using one of these packages :- Labview, - C(any variation),- VBA,- Python,- Java,- Any SCADA packages Experience of project life cycles and configuration control Professional membership or registration preferred, or a willingness to work towards professional registrationAbility to work as part of a team and individually Willingness to learn other software languages including Labview What will you get from us?
