2020 Recruitment are working with our Fife based engineering client who are looking to add a Stores person to their team.This is a permanent contract, based in their Glenrothes facility.Job Role:As the Stores Person, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the facility workshop. Overseeing all incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring that subsequent paperwork is completed in a timely manner.Duties & Responsibilities: * Checking all incoming and outgoing goods against delivery notes, ensuring all paperwork is completed as per company procedures. * Kit all materials per job and assign to factory operatives/projects as requested in a safe and efficient manner. * Take ownership of stock control and order materials as required to keep up with company demands. * Basic knowledge of engineering materials. * Forklift truck operation. * Create detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, and test procedures. * Carry out risk assessments and be able to present toolbox talks to other team members.Skills & Experience: * Forklift license essential. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * The ability to work confidently on your own. * Demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and always put these into practise.Package: * Monday – Friday working week. * Occasional overtime opportunities. * Permanent contract. * Experience working within a successful engineering company. * Career progression.To apply:If you would like to apply or learn more about the role, please get in touch by phone or email
