OverviewBased in Oxfordshire, Oxford Hydrotechnics is a market-leading resin injection and concrete grouting specialist firm working on prestigious projects across the UK and Europe.Our Head Office and Stores are in Baynards Green, Oxfordshire however this role may involve some travel.Role PurposeThe Stores Supervisor is responsible for the issue and maintenance of equipment, materials and tools to complete our orders of work and also for the operation of a clean, well-organised and legally compliant Stores.The post requires an individual with both the attention to detail and IT skills to manage stock and procurement of our key products and materials, as well as the practical skills to undertake basic maintenance of equipment and take a hands-on approach to the day to day operation of Stores.The Stores Supervisor will ensure that all tool and equipment maintenance, testing and certification are carried out in line with regulatory and statutory requirements and ensure that the Stores are run in adherence to HSE guidelines and the requirements of the Company’s accreditations which include ISO 9001 and 14001 and FORS.Core Hours45 hours per week (including 30 minutes paid daily lunch break) Monday to Friday.Main DutiesManagement of Stores1. Run the Stores as a professional, efficient and legally compliant unit.2. Identify and implement new initiatives to improve the effective running of Stores.3. Create a safe work environment which is compliant with all relevant internal and external guidelines.4. Liaise with the Field Team on the issue and return of equipment, materials and vehicles to ensure timely handover and record keeping.5. Support the maintenance of the Company’s accreditations including ISO 9001, 14001 and FORS6. Responsible for waste management in line with ISO 14001 Environmental management systems to include Hazardous / Non-Hazardous waste.7. Obtain removal and disposal quotes, prepare products for disposal and arrange collection.8. Updating of Risk Assessments and Procedures in Stores (Fire, COSHH, Lone Working etc)Stock & Equipment1. Management of correct and timely stock levels considering safe storage, shelf life, delivery lead time and job requirements.2. Liaise with Contracts Manager and Engineers regularly to determine materials and equipment required for the pipeline of jobs.3. Ensure adherence with COSHH requirements.4. Carry out a monthly stock check for submission to Finance Manager.5. Ensure adequate labelling and rotation of stock and produce a weekly report to track this process.6. Responsible for input and management of inventory and stock database into electronic system, ensuring 100% accuracy.7. Management of a robust Goods In/Out system to track stock and equipment backed up by the relevant reporting.8. Log any damage or issues with equipment, raising poor performance to the attention of Management where necessary.Servicing & Maintenance1. Ensure annual forklift service and maintenance are undertaken and accurate records are kept in line with LOLER Regulations and ensure daily pre-use checks are carried out.2. Ensure annual inspection of Racking in line with PUWER Regulations.3. Ensure maintenance and calibration of all necessary equipment is undertaken in line with the Servicing Plan, any SLAs and relevant records kept.4. Liaise with Landlord where necessary of servicing of alarms, roller doors, asbestos etc and maintain the relevant records.5. Arrange timely and regular PAT testing in line with statutory requirements of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. Maintain accurate and timely PAT testing register on Stores Database.6. Stripping down and cleaning of pumps and equipment as necessary.Procurement1. Day-to-day oversight of our equipment supplier contracts.2. Arrange hire of appropriate vehicles and equipment as required to meet operational needs whilst obtaining authorisation where necessary.3. Maintain a detailed hire log specifying vehicle/equipment, job, duration, and cost.4. Place orders for equipment and stock with approved suppliers as required to meet operational needs with the relevant authorisations.5. Regular handover of paperwork, including Orders and Invoices relating to stores and site to Contracts Administrator.6. Ensure that all orders are made using a Purchase Order.Fleet1. Adhere to the Company’s driving policy when using company owned or hired vehicles.2. Assist in the annual renewal of FORS accreditation through good reporting and record keeping both on in-house systems and Fleet Witness.3. Inspect vehicles and log any damage or repairs needed on their return and make recommendations to Management.4. Contribute to the ongoing planning and review of Fleet.5. Arrange servicing and liaise with repair providers ensuring cost-effective solutions.Other1. Maintain adherence to Health and safety codes and practice in and around the Workshop and Stores.2. Face-Fitting of site staff with respiratory protective equipment (RPE), including completion of records.3. Collections and deliveries as required
