SF Recruitment are exclusively working with a fantastic organisation based near to Glasgow that require someone with a specialism within indirect tax. The candidate will become the Tax Manager for the organisation, becoming the point of contact for all tax related queries with internal & external stakeholders. Further duties of the role include:
- Provide strategic finance leadership and strategic tax advice across all areas of the organisation
- Becoming the lead point of contact with HMRC and managing relationships with external advisers, as well as building and managing relationships within the central Finance function
- Ensuring staff at all levels have an awareness of tax issues, and training tools and resources to improve knowledge in this area
- Be the VAT lead on ongoing redevelopment and large scale projects
- Lead strategic improvement to the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and controls to support the tax operations
- Line management to the tax team, comprised of a Tax Analyst and Technician
The ideal candidate will possess significant post-qualification (CTA or similar) tax experience, and having operated at a senior financial level within a large, complex environment, you will have substantial professional VAT experience, as well as a strong track record of leadership at this level - providing direction, delivering results, building on relationships and capability and demonstrating personal resilience.
