Progress Teachers are working with a local mainstream Secondary School to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of Spanish to support a strong MFL department to drive academic standards and instil a love of languages in students across KS3 & KS4.Why work with Progress Teachers? * Long-term & Permanent Focus – We specialise in long-term and permanent positions, providing stability and career growth opportunities. * Competitive Salary – You’ll receive Pay to Scale rates from day one through PAYE. * 5 Star Reviewed Company- Check google to read through the positive experiences. * Experienced Consultants – Collective 25 years’ experience in local education markets. * £100 BONUS – Through our refer a friend scheme (you do not have to be working through us to receive this bonus).Responsibilities: * Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver impactful Spanish lessons that engage pupils and help them develop their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in the target language. * Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessment of all four key skills, maintaining accurate records of outcomes for reporting and analysis. * Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour effectively through the consistent use of the School's behaviour policy. * Wider School Responsibilities: Engage and actively participate in wider professional responsibilities such as lunchtime duty, parents evenings, and transition open evenings as required by the School.Qualification Requirements: * Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on MFL is highly advantageous. However, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for this role. * Subject Knowledge: A degree in Spanish / Hispanic Studies or a related field, with a strong understanding of key concepts and a passion for the subject. * Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary MFL teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is highly advantageous, but not essential. Strong ECTs will also be considered for this role. * Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents. * Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students. * A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain. * 2x Satisfactory References
