You will be supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, no experience required. You will be supporting students between the ages of 11 - 16 WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT? As a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Graduate teaching assistant, youll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.WHAT WILL PROSPERO AND THE SCHOOL DO TO HELP ME IF I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE? As a new member of staff, you will be given an induction by Prospero and allocated a line manager in the school, usually the Higher Learning Teaching Assistant and SENCO. These people will provide you with extensive guidance and support, you will also be supported by Prospero. Regular meetings and CPD training sessions are offered by Prospero and the school to ensure you are learning, growing, and developing within the Graduate teaching assistant role.
