SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Stratford upon AvonSalary: £84 - £110 per day depending on the role/responsibilties Contract: Temporary to Full TimeHours: Monday to Friday (8:30 to 3:30pm)Are you looking for a new role which involves supporting young people to help inspire pupils to succeed?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for several Teaching Assistants for a specialist school based in Stratford upon Avon. 

The school is set in large, private grounds amid a campus of historic buildings and caters for individuals aged 4-19, who have been primarily diagnosed with Autism, Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, complex needs, and challenging behaviour. 

Your role would be to support the pupils 1:1/within small groups by offering a supportive and relaxing environment, where young people can receive the specialist education and multi-disciplinary care they need.

At the school, each child receives an individualised education programme, which is tailored to meet their specific needs and is supported by a therapy team that include psychology, occupational therapy, specialist speech and language therapy, mental health practitioners, therapy assistant and family support worker who work in conjunction with the teaching assistants and qualified teachers.

Ideal Candidate:Experience working with SEN in a school or similar environment (desirable but not essential)1:1 or small group working experience with vulnerable people (desirable but not essential)Previous or current teaching assistants, support workers, care workers, sports coaches and more encouraged to applyGraduates encouraged to applySupport the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the schoolMotivate, engage, and inspire young people to learn and participateSupport the teacher with general classroom and behaviour managementIf you are a passionate about making a positive difference in the education of vulnerable young people, we would love to hear from you.
