Technical Sales Engineer in Chatteris

Job Purpose:

To generate new and repeat orders from existing and new customers by using your technical knowledge and commercial acumen to develop and present winning bids and tenders to the clients and ensuring that they understand the benefits of selecting Aerotron Composites as their supplier.

Additionally to support all customer related activities from initial business development to cash collection, ensuring DSA, Quality and price expectations are maintained, using good business skills to motivate, coordinate and to drive revenue growth for the business.

Main Job Activities:

Deliver order intake to support business objectives, aligned to business budget and personal targets.

Understand the customer / project requirements, brief the opportunity into the business and manage the bid activity through to order receipt.

Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, then manage customer expectations throughout lifecycle of relationship.

Develop trusting relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to the competition.

Maximise the portfolio of existing customer business through generation of additional new sales.

Develop a pipeline of new customers that can be added to the existing portfolio.

Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to management utilising the enquiry log as a pipeline tracker.

Analytical and problem solving skills

Knowledge of pipeline management would be desirable

Previous experience in a techical sales role would be beneficial.

Self motivated and ability to work on your own, independent and self-reliant.
