Town Planner in Stamford

Town PlannerPenguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting an independent land promotion, planning and architecture firm based in Lincolnshire in their hire of a talented and ambitious Town Planner!

My client is an award-winning practice made up of a dynamic team of planners and architects who work with landowners to promote their greenfield or brownfield land and secure planning permissions for residential and commercial development.

The successful candidate will join the dynamic team in working on barn conversions and minor residential new-build developments through to commercial and major residential land promotions.

Additionally, the company is working on several large-scale ground-mount solar projects.

Some of your duties of the role will include:Preparing Planning, Design and Access Statements, Contextual Site Analyses and Heritage Statements.

Undertaking site appraisals, identifying planning constraints, and preparing detailed planning strategies for clients.

Analysing local and national planning policies and site-specific planning history.

Working across an extensive range of planning applications including pre-applications, prior approvals, changes of use, discharge of conditions, listed building consents, householder applications and outline, and detailed planning applications.

Completing strategic land searches and contacting landowners to discuss land promotion opportunities.

Independently attending client site visits to provide planning advice.

Candidate Requirements:RTPI/RICS accredited degree or qualification.

Chartered membership of RTPI or RICS ideal, or working towards chartership.

Experience in producing planning statements, heritage statements, and appeal statements.

Experience in managing planning applications and appeals.
