If you do and hold a teaching qualification keep on reading... An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Tutor, to join our Supported Internship programme. The role is on a part time (22.5 hours per week) in the Staffordshire region. You will have the opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team as well as help young people with a learning disability, learning difficulty and / or autism access the world of work. As a Tutor on Mencap's Internship programme you will teach English and Maths by embedding it into lessons about employability. You will also teach further life skills that will have a direct impact on the way your learners interact with their wider community. Are you looking for an opportunity to create fun and engaging lessons by thinking outside the box? As a Tutor you will focus on the delivery of the educational element of Supported Internships programmes. (essential):  Experience of supporting people Experience of delivering against targets Experience of working with a diverse group of learners A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) Recognised teaching qualification at level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd) Knowledge and experience of delivering and assessing functional skills English and maths up to level 2 Experience & knowledge of safe working practices Good classroom management skills and strategies Good time management and planning skills Please see the Job Description for full role requirements.
