Role Overview

Savills has an exciting opportunity for a Valuer to join its highly successful Valuation team in Scotland. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to value some of the most high profile developments and buildings across multiple sectors including retail, office, BTR, residential and industrial. The role is suited to an ambitious RICS Registered Valuer looking to progress their career. Key Responsibilities •Providing valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposes •Producing Red Book valuation reports to a high standard•Reporting to clients and senior colleagues•Adhere to internal processes, lender requirements and RICS regulations •Build the professional business through networking internally and externally, developing close relationships with existing and new clients •Develop and identify new business opportunities•Keeping up to date with changing legislation and valuation practices•Act as a role model and supervisor to rotational graduates   

Key Skills •MRICS qualified (essential) •RICS Registered Valuer status (essential)•1-3 years Post Qualification Experience•Experience in writing valuation reports for Red Book purposes (essential)•Experience of development and investment valuations•Proficient in the use of valuation software, specifically Argus Enterprise (essential) and Argus Developer (advantageous)•Ability to utilise varying methods of valuation (essential)•Good market knowledge & strong commercial awareness•Ability to liaise and communicate well with colleagues and other departments within Savills•Well organised with good attention to detail•Strong analytical, research and report writing skills (essential)•Autonomous – able to take sole responsibility for instructions from start to finish•Work quickly and efficiently to tight timescales

Team Overview  Working in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, you will be part of a national network of valuers, who together provide valuation advice to some of the world's large companies and financial institutions. The majority of work is secured lending dominated, but the team also provides regular valuation advice to a range of Investment Funds, REITs and Property Companies for fund performance purposes.
