Our client, a well-established global logistics & freight forwarding specialist who pride themselves on innovation and ensuring customer care is met to the highest level within their growing digital world, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to based at offices in Basildon, Essex.The role would suit someone who has accounts department experience and has handled receivables and/or payables. This encompasses a modern kitchen, self-serve coffee machines, microwave, fridge/freezer. Use of TV, Pool table, ping pong table plus an arcade machine. Also use of showers and gym. * Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5pm – 1 hour lunchDuties and Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant: * The Accounts Assistant will be looking after and chasing assigned client's debts. * Allocating payments received. * Processing Credit Card payments. * Producing daily reports. * Bank reconciliation. * Debt collection via phone and email * Involvement with our invoice factoring/discounting company * Be involved with the accounts payables side. * To be able to communicate with ops teams, sales staff and other offices within the company. * Some involvement with our offsite Accountant. * Plus ad-hoc duties that are encompassed within the accounts departmentTo Be Considered: * Handled receivables and/or payables * Logistics experience is not essential but would be an advantage. * Good communication skills on the telephone and via email * Sage 50 and FCL (Forward Computers Freight System) experience would be an advantage.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Docs) * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Docs)For more details, please contact Willis Global - a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain and Logistics industry
