At VCCthe Appraisals Team play a crucial role in accurately valuing everyproduct that comes through our doors.

As the first point of contactwith our valued customers goods we carefully assess each box toensure that we can provide a fair offer to every customer.

Wereproud to be the engine room of VCC providing the stock that fuelsall the other departments.

Were a fantastic team of around 30people and we have people working from trainee to Senior appraiserlevel.

Aboutthe role:

As anappraiser you will appraise customers items on a daily basiscollaborating with specialists and your team leader to assist youin making informed decisions.

You will work independently as partof a larger appraisal team striving to meet and exceed KPI targets.

You will receive ongoing training and development throughout yourdaytoday duties and from specialists.

As an appraiser you willalways be learning as anything could come through in a customersbox and you will see things you have never seen before even afteryears of experience.

Keygoals andobjectives:

• Buildup a comprehensive knowledge of vintage and antique items includinggold silver watches jewellery medals toys cameras and other relatedcategories.

• Accuratelyappraise 2530 customer boxes everyday.

• Ensure a qualitycontrol rate of at least 95% with no major errors supported byroutine audits from your teamlead.

• Manage and maintainbox acceptance rate in line with the departments key performanceindicators(KPIs).

Inyour first three months youwill:

• Learnhow to appraise a diverse range of vintage and antique items.

• Receive and engage intraining on a large range of productcategories.

• Collaborateclosely with your team leader and others across the team to supportyour learning andgrowth.

• Appraise 2325 boxesper day.

• Attend regularonetoone meetings with your team leader to discuss your progressand key performance indicators (KPIs).

In yourfirst six months youwill:

• Becomean established member of the team improving on your first threemonths performance.

• Developmore indepth knowledge of variouscategories.

• Maintain aquality control rate (QC%) of95%.

• Keep accept rate inline with departmentKPIs.

Keyresponsibilities:

• Accuratelycarefully and efficiently appraise customersitems.

• Keep the workenvironment clean andtidy.

• Be open to changes inprocesses or environments and embrace them bringing any new ideasto your Team Lead to improve the working environment andefficiency.

• Inform yourmanager immediately if you notice any health and safetyconcerns.

• Take advantage ofselflearning opportunities and those provided toyou.

Essentialskills andexperience:

• Enthusiasticabout vintage and antiqueproducts.

• Displaysmeticulous attention todetail.

• Proficient inaccurate dataentry.

• Exhibits strongmultitaskingabilities.

• Communicateseffectively with diverse teams anddepartments.

• Adapts well tochanges in the workenvironment.
