Kenton Black Finance have partnered exclusively with a well-known organisation in Morecambe as they look to strengthen their finance function by appointing a new Assistant Accountant. This is an all-encompassing role which provides hands on exposure across the entire spectrum of finance, with other business facing duties which include liaising with various key stakeholders.
This is an ideal move for a career driven Assistant Accountant, or an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to step into a role which supports with management accounting and month end related duties.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance who will act as a mentor to ensure skills development, this role works in a small team of 3 finance staff and duties will include:
•Supporting with the production of monthly management accounts production
•Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
•Daily bank and revenue reconciliations
•Balance sheet reconciliations
•Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
•Provision of payroll information for the external payroll bureau
•Regular contact with a variety of stakeholders including Heads of Department to respond to queries and deliver meaningful financial insight and advice
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA and be committed to enhancing their skills further. Knowledge of Xero is desirable but not essential, and you must be comfortable in the use of MS Excel. A forward thinking working approach is required and you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment which involves a high degree of interaction with various stakeholders.
