Assistant Management Accountant in Chesterfield

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ‘Assistant Management Accountant’ to join our wonderful team!

The hotel accounts team are based in our offices at Casa and look after both of our venues.

With continuous communication with the hospitality teams our accountants can ensure smooth running of the financial processes, assist colleagues with regular profit and loss reports and help the business excel.

Responsibilities in the role would be:

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts. (Hotels)
• Preparation of draft Management Accounts. (Other smaller businesses)
• Reconciliation of Control Accounts. (Bank, Inter Company, Debtors and Creditors)
• Maintaining and reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register’s.
• Preparation and Posting of Journals. (Depreciation, Payroll, Accruals and Prepayments)
• Budget v Actual and Prior Year variance analysis.
• Assist in the Preparation of VAT Returns
• Maintain Analysis of KPI’s and investigate variances.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge of Sage 50 is essential.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, intermediate level Excel skills.
• Good working knowledge of retrieving Finance Data from Operational systems.
• At least 3 years experience of working in a Finance Team.
• CIMA/ACCA studier or AAT qualified Level 4
• Strong communication skills and a Team player.
• Committed, self-motivated and highly organised individual.
