Role Summary
The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for translating customer business requirements into a working business system solution using the DXC Assure software products.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:nEngage with Customers through workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and objectives.nCapture detailed business requirements as Agile requirement artifacts (Epics, User Stories etc.) that can be allocated and managed using the DXC Scaled Agile Delivery Process.nAbility to support and advise the project team and customers on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit customer solutions based on Insurance Domain and DXC Assure Product knowledge.nAdhere to and contribute to the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of Assure software products.nWorks collaboratively in a team environment supporting DXC & Client resources with knowledge and experience of Insurance solutionsnSolution testing & issue management/resolution.nLead and participate in internal quality reviews of solution design.nProvide inputs to project estimates after analysis of solution requirementsnSupport client engagements through the full project life cycle.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:nStrong Insurance domain expertise – Lloyds and Company market knowledge preferably with experience in Broker, Carrier, Syndicate and MGA operationsnAbility to lead the solution design process both client-facing and internalnExperience in the design and delivery of Insurance Administration SystemsnSQL skills including the ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.nKnowledge and experience of modern analysis techniques including:nAgilenProcess Mapping (current and future state)nDevelopment of data flow diagrams (current and future state)nEntity relationship mappingnKnowledge of Unified Modelling LanguagenExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsnA high level of attention to detail with strong documentation skills
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:nFamiliarity with the configuration of Assure Software productsnPolished presentation/demonstration skillsnPractical working knowledge of Insurance Applications.nExperience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a teamnAbility to work flexible hours as required - connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.nPrepared to travel when required
