Business Analyst in London

Insight Investment is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Currency Product team in London.

The team is a cross-functional team of engineers, designers and analysts working together to build a platform of applications and services for Insight’s in-house FX traders and Portfolio Managers.

The team is currently working on a new generation of front office, user-facing, UX-driven Portfolio Management tools for Insight’s dedicated Currency Solutions team.

There are also Currency-specific components that are integrated into a wider investment platform - to deliver business processes spanning multiple teams of investment specialists and trading desks.

Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and design of customer-centric solutions, from proof-of-concept to working production software
• Develop an understanding of the business context, helping to define and articulate the problem space
• Facilitate workshops, collaborative working groups and conversations to research user needs and goals, turning them into outcomes and value statements
• Turn challenges and ideas into solution propositions, assessing their effectiveness against Product outcomes and constraints
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to identify new opportunities and design that creates value for our customers
• Be involved in the software development lifecycle, including producing documentation to support the team’s activities as part of Agile delivery and execution of acceptance testing
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with the business representatives, working across teams and multiple sites

Experience Required

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management experience with the ability to effectively communicate at a level and depth appropriate to the audience
• You can demonstrate strong analytical skills and feel comfortable challenging the status quo
• Experience operating efficiently in long-standing, self-organising, cross-functional Agile teams that can control and influence how and what they build
• Experience dealing with imperfect information and working as part of an autonomous team
• Problem solving skills and passionate about building a product that makes a difference for our users and business
• Comfortable working on more than one thing at a time, whether they be small impactful enhancements or long-term outcomes
