A commercially focused national law firm are seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team.
The successful candidate will support in the delivery of growth initiatives for their Employment practice group, supporting the BD Manager in identifying new business opportunities and developing existing client relationships, to achieve growth targets.
This role has a focus on business development, proposal writing and client targeting campaigns.
The Responsibilities:
- Proposals – Assist in proposal preparation, coordinate presentations, maintain credentials databases, and monitor proposal outcomes.
- Directory Submissions – Contribute to compiling directory submissions for all relevant categories.
- Sector and Groups Support – Collaborate on sector-specific or specialist service initiatives, conduct research, identify new clients, and implement marketing plans.
- New Business – Support the management and development of a new business pipeline, including researching potential clients and communicating activities.
- Client Development – Assist in managing client development efforts, providing research, analysis, and information on cross-selling opportunities.
- Events – Implement strategic events and provide support for other events throughout the year, managing logistics and providing analytics.
- Marketing Communications – Support marketing communications projects such as award submissions, brochure updates, newsletters, and website content.
- CRM Management – Promote effective use of the CRM database, cleansing data for key clients and pipeline targets.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience working in a legal / professional services firm (ideally 2+ years).
- Strong business development and marketing skills, especially someone who has had exposure to different projects and / or is looking to develop their skills.
- Comfortable taking a brief for a project, working as part of a project team or working autonomously.
- Educated to a degree qualification or equivalent level.
