As a foundation to this next stage for the business, we are now hiring for an experienced and engaging Business Development Manager to join our Brand team to build stronger relationships with key sectors of our in-house audience and play a lead role in furthering our reputation and ambition to be the most connected business in our field.

With each member of our Brand Partnerships Team acting as an expert on particular industry sectors, this role may initially focus on Retail, Beauty, Wellness, and Travel, with the opportunity to expand based on your own experience and strengths.

The Role:

The primary focus of the role of Business Development Manager is to build stronger in-house relationships, and lead on the advocacy of GO! services to marketing leaders in the UK. The Brand Partnership Manager will work across the entire brand-agency partnership process, from engaging in-house leaders to build awareness of the benefits of the GO! Network to collaborating with brands to assess their agency roster and source new partners where required.

Key components of the role will include;

  • Using intelligent and creative approaches to engage with marketing leaders in a way that builds trust, and demonstrates the value of the GO! services.

·      Support in-house leaders in the development and clarification of their marketing challenges to build a clear brief and requirement.

·      Collaborate with the brand team to successfully manage your own outreach and engagement activity with an at-desk coverage plan.

·      A calendar full of events, meetings, conversations, and introductions to in-house marketing leaders.

  • Work with our central GO! Network team to manage the brand-agency introduction cycle from initial requirements to completed appointment.

Experience :

  • Proven success of achievement in a commercial role – ideal background in Partnership Management, Account Management, Client Service, Business Development or Recruitment.
  • Experience dealing with senior marketing leaders in the relevant sectors across a range of potential requirements.
  • Demonstrable background of taking an organised and strategic approach to networking, relationship-building, and new client engagement proven in a client-facing/advisory/business development role. 
  • Strong account management experience in a role that balanced client service and relationships with cross sell and commercial performance targets. 
  • Proficiency working with CRM systems, data management, and using this for client targeting on a daily basis. 
  • Experience opening up conversations/winning new business within the following sectors would be advantageous but not essential

o  Retail

o  FMCG

o  Leisure, travel and Tourism

o  Hospitality

Knowledge :

A clear understanding & passion for the sector GO! operates in. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of how to engage with key profiles in one of/a few of the following sectors, either in a client-facing position or in function:

  • Creative 
  • Marketing 
  • Digital 
  • Advertising 
  • Ad-tech 
  • PR

Specific Skills  

  • A confident communicator, comfortable at presenting at a senior level
  • A quick learner, comfortable absorbing and translating the offering of multiple clients and agencies. 
  • Proven revenue generation and comfortable in working to operational and financial targets.

·      A positive Self-Starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude, ambitious to succeed and grow within an entrepreneurial environment.
