As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in the Procurement and Supply Chain Management activities within the business and drive the cost-effective acquisition of products.

You will be sourcing, negotiating and purchasing goods ensuring that quality, lead-times and pricing are effective against business objectives.

As the Buyer, you will be responsible for: * Supplier Management – identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and ensuring strong relationships are built to allow for effective negotiations.

* Managing Purchase order process – ensure accurate and effective process whilst tracking and monitoring order statuses.

Working to ensure any backorders/backlogs are managed in order to achieve customer OTIF.

* Cost control – manage purchasing spend through effective negotiating around price / quantities and quality.

* Staying abreast of market trends and developments that will effect supply chain / pricing * Evaluating supply chain and mitigating risksWe are looking for someone who: * Wants an opportunity to grow and develop into a Buyer role * Has previous experience in a Purchasing Assistant / Assistant Buyer / Buyer role * Strong communication skills with the confidence to fact-find, negotiate, and query where necessary * Strong IT Skills and experience with a MRP/ERP system would be advantageous * Experience working with a high volume of SKU’s and a good grounding of stock control principles would be ideal but not essentialThe application process:Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse, and inclusive workforce.
