Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a large regional civil engineering main contractor to oversee delivery of projects across Yorkshire.The company delivers key infrastructure solutions in the form of cycle routes, highways, public realm and bridges/structures as principal contractor in Yorkshire. They've acquired a strong workload from recent framework wins & are looking to add to their already capable team with a new Project Manager. The contractor are known for their high standards & supportive work environment, growth of staff and successful repeat business. A forward thinking regional team - many of which have come from Tier 1 & Tier 2 backgrounds in the industry.Duties/Responsibilities include: * Management of 1 or 2 projects (depending on value)- values up to £10m * Set example in health, safety and environmental by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. * Assist Contracts Manager with allocation of staff and sub-contractors. * Programming and planning work. * Communicating with commercial team to control budgets & track costs. * Issuing early warnings & compensation events. * Reporting to a Contracts Manager and working with them to ensure site targets are hit. * Attend meetings with clients. * Produce relevant documentation for sites.Experience required: * Candidates must have proven experience at Project Manager level with a principal contractor on civil engineering / infrastructure projects (values £5m+) * Experience managing highways construction & streetworks * Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is essential * Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree). * Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS and Full Driver's License. * Temporary Works tickets are beneficial.Remuneration:A salary of up to £67,000 (dependent upon experience) plus: 1.
