We are working in partnership with a dynamic and inclusive special school located in Salisbury, dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for children and young people aged 4-19 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The academy prides itself on its nurturing ethos, innovative approach to teaching and learning, and commitment to ensuring that every student achieves their full potential.

Responsibilities:Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons and learning activities that are tailored to meet the individual learning styles, abilities, and interests of students with SEND, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), sensory processing difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to participate actively in their learning and development.

Use a range of assessment tools and strategies to monitor students' progress, identify their strengths and areas for development, and inform the planning of personalized interventions and support plans.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, carers, and external professionals to share information, set targets, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional progress.

Act as a positive role model and advocate for inclusive practice, equality, and diversity within the school community, promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and acceptance of individual differences.

Qualifications:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Extensive experience working as an SEN Teacher in a special school or a mainstream school with a focus on supporting students with SEND.

Sound knowledge and understanding of a range of SEN conditions, educational needs, and evidence-based interventions, as well as relevant legislation and guidance.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, families, and external professionals.

A genuine passion for SEN education, inclusive practice, and empowering children and young people with SEND to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.

07% statutory holiday pay.
