Petrolink is a Global leader in providing real-time data management and analytics solutions for the energy sector. The Client Support Engineer reports to the Senior Real-Time Coordinator. In addition, the Client Support Engineer will report to Global Operations Manager of Petrolink Services Ltd, for all matters relating to System Administration, Operations and Client Support.

The Client Support Engineer is part of the Client support team and is responsible for providing customer support by administrating the access control lists, e-mail groups and user access privileges in the real-time and static data management systems. The Client Support Engineer objective is to oversee the flow of data through the real-time and static data management systems and ensure client requirements are met. All members of the client support team are required to have up-to-date knowledge of each client set-up for both data transmission and data flow control. The Client Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining client data confidentiality. To avoid errors, it is essential to follow the procedures put in place to safeguard the work tasks. The Client Support Engineer should also continually question and review the procedures to ensure that they are accurate.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Administer the flow of data through the real-time and static data management systems.

·        Ensure requests, confirm requests, access control lists, password issuing, and any other tasks are done.

·        Review and improve procedures and policies in support of the company goals.

·        Responsible for first line customer support.

·        Maintain contact with the clients to ensure that their requirements are met.

·        Monitoring client databases and Real-time projects to be aware of how they are being used and the status of the project or well.

·        Schedule your contact with the customer accordingly and provide onsite customer support as necessary.

·        Processing archive service requests.

·        Attend daily morning meeting.

·        Server Set-up & application maintenance.

·        Job planning and roll-out.

Project mobilisation including offshore and international trips.

·        Stay abreast of the processing techniques used by Operations.

·        Monitoring of the Petrolink Infrastructure, servers and websites, reporting to ICT as required.

·        Implement management decisions and report of their effectiveness.

·        Provide management with a progress report at the end of each week.

·      Take an active role in the software system development review cycle, testing software releases and providing feedback to the development team.
