Westwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our client who are a world renowned Manufacturing company based in Bredbury.The role entails: * To be able to machine components to technical drawings and specifications. * To set-up and operate CNC machines correctly. * Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures. * Self-inspection of own work. * Ensure that preventative & General maintenance checks are carried out. * To ensure that all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.You will: * Be able to read and understand engineering drawings. * Have knowledge to set and operate CNC machines – Milling * Know how to edit and prove out CNC programs. * Know how to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.) * Have sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances. * Good attention to detail. * Be a strong team player with a can do attitude. * Be able to produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner. * Be able to maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.Job Requirements: * Experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential. * You will have minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines. * Engineering Apprenticeship or similar or time served * Fanuc experience advantageous.What is on offer: * 25 days holidays plus stats * Life Assurance Policy * Smart Pension * EAP scheme * Cycle to Work Scheme * Free parking
