We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join a global manufacturing company.As an experienced CNC Machinist, you will prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerically controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup, and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organising the work area, as well as following their Health and Safety policies and procedures.Shift patterns consist of swing shifts or night shifts.About the roleSet up a range of 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machine tools by installing and adjusting work holding devices, tooling, spindle liners, and bar feedersOperate a range of 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machine tools, ensuring that machine downtime is minimisedVerify programs and settings using a range of measuring equipment on the first article and apply appropriate adjustments and program modificationsEnsure component compliance in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures using a range of inspection equipmentRecord daily operations on machine tools and provide operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) results dailyContribute to continuous improvement activities within the departmentEnsure that daily maintenance is carried out as requiredMaintain a high level of housekeepingObserve health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and government legislationAbout youCompetent in use of CNC and manual machineryExperience with Fanuc controls is an advantageWorking to engineering drawings and modelsAble to work and meet deadlinesGood attention to detail and quality controlIf you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to £250! This is just one of the many roles we are working on at the Sammons Recruitment Group.
