Compliance Assistant Position OverviewMy client are a dynamic and forward-thinking company dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. They are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous Compliance Assistant to join their team in the Hailsham area. This is a new position created to support our Technical Director with internal and external audits and ensure our compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Technical Director in preparing for and conducting internal and external audits. Accompany external auditors during their visits and ensure all necessary documentation and records are available.Ensure the company adheres to BRC, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards. Experience with FSE is desirable but not essential. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.Conduct regular mini-audits within various departments to ensure ongoing compliance. Provide training and support to staff as needed to promote a culture of compliance.Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for audits.Assist with IT administration support, working closely with external IT service providers to ensure smooth operations.Work collaboratively across different functions of the business to promote and ensure compliance. Support other departments in understanding and implementing compliance requirements. Compliance Assistant Position RequirementsProven experience in auditing and preparing for audits is essential. Experience in maintaining and upkeeping regulations within quality and compliance is required.In-depth understanding of BRC, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards is essential. Familiarity with FSE is a plus.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and external auditors.Basic IT administration skills.A proactive approach to compliance, with the ability to identify and address potential issues before they become problems. A team player who can work effectively across different departments.
