Founded in the early 1990s, The Gorilla Organization has had the privilege to be at the forefront of gorilla conservation for over 30 years, with innovative and award-winning projects in Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo, and field staff in Africa, supported by fundraising and communications teams in London.

We oversee a broad range of grassroots conservation projects aimed at addressing the key threats facing gorillas today. We support, train, and equip rangers, provide conservation, education, and socio-economic development opportunities for local people, and plant trees to protect the forest and mitigate climate change.

Development Manager

C£45,000

North London

Ambitious for the future and conscious that there are just 1,069 mountain gorillas left in the world, this new role will add significant capacity to the existing team, helping us to deliver on our annual business plan, driving our income generating activities, monitoring our performance and impact, delivering value to our donors, stakeholders, and the communities we serve, and overseeing day-to-day operations.

All of which will require an individual passionate about Africa and the plight of gorillas, who is inspired by our approach to protecting gorillas and their natural habitat through community involvement and who comes to the role with a proven track record of success in fundraising, good financial acumen, excellent engagement, presentation, and people skills, and the ability to manage our day-to-day operations.
