Head of Commercial Opportunity | Rail and Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-contract processes, ensuring seamless collaboration with Joint Venture (JV) partners.
  • Formulate and execute strategies for successful contract negotiations and partnerships.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Commercial function, ensuring the success of various projects.
  • Serve as the primary contact for escalating and resolving commercial issues.
  • Guide and develop the growing Commercial team.
  • Promote a culture of consistency, excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Utilise exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Apply expertise in commercial law to manage contracts, mitigate risks, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Play a key role in the leadership team, contributing to strategic decisions and driving organisational growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Director, preferably within the Rail, Building, or Infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects valued up to $100 million.
  • Strong understanding of pre-construction processes, JV partnerships, and commercial delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial law and its application in large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional team management skills, with a history of fostering consistency and leading high-performing teams.
