System Design Engineer in Filton

The role:

AKKODIS is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join our project teams in Bristol to support existing Landing Gear and Fuel Avionic Test Benches.

This role will be hybrid with an expectation of predominantly being onsite in Filton, Bristol. We are open for this opportunity to be permanent.

What you will be doing:

• on larger scale electrical test rig design projects delivering a complete test rig as part of a team
• Architecture Design Solutions/ Electrical Component electrical schematics and understanding the language behind it to meet the Requirements of the test rig.
• small modifications to the test rigs to support upcoming test campaigns
• to existing test rigs
• modification requirements from design office/test team and developing a suitable solution
• or creating new wiring diagrams and wiring lists
• with the onsite team or external supplier to implement/build the solution
• of the test rig design/modification solution Delivering a comprehensive report to the customer.

Required Skills:

• Visio experience (ESSENTIAL)
• Electrical & Ki CAD Experience (preferably but not essential)
• Front Panel Designer Software (preferably but not essential)
• able to produce electrical and mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and being autonomous in this
• of Electrical Design (ESSENTIAL) and Electrical Systems
• of Fuel and/or Landing Gear Systems is beneficial (not mandatory) – training will be provided
• basic electronic circuit design knowledge using relay logic, diodes, resistors, capacitors.
• digital inputs and outputs.
• working with test rigs (ideally)
• working with modification requirements
• communication skills & Experience working as part of a team with the ability of working autonomously
• of Excel, Word (or Google Docs, Google Sheets)
