Electrical Estimator (building services contractor)Parkinson Gray Associates have been engaged by a brand new Client, a medium-sized electrical contractor based in North Yorkshire, to assist them with their recruitment for an Electrical Estimator.This is a well established, single discipline, building services contractor, working on a range of projects in the local area, both directly with the end-user and with main contractors. Project range from the very modest all the way up to circa £2M. They have a turnover of around £3-4M and have ambitious plans for growth this year. This appointment is a brand new role, with the estimation function previously fulfilled by the Electrical Project Managers.As Electrical Estimator it will be your role to take all enquiries from inception to tender submission. Working in conjunction, you will be a key member of the management staff and a fundamental part of this Clients expansion plans. Currently, their estimation is completed on spreadsheets. They are open to transitioning to a computer estimation software package and will look to the successful candidate for this role for guidance in this matter. This is an office-based role.We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Estimator for the role. You will have gained your experience within an established building services contractor and will have a proven track record of producing fast, accurate and competitive tenders on large scale (£multi million) projects. Ideally, you will have good design awareness (note - of course, we are not looking for an Electrical. Design Engineer), due to our Client working on design and build, as well as traditional tender, projects.This is a great opportunity for a proven Electrical Estimator to make their mark on this business.
