Electrical Technician - Peterborough - Up to £23/hr - Inside IR35 - 12 months initial contractAn Electrical Technician opportunity has become available for one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.As a Electrical Technician you will be part of the Engine Electronic Systems and Software Team responsible for developing and implementing electrical and electronic control systems for powertrains developed in the UK and built worldwide. The role of Development & Research Technician is in the support of test equipment capabilities for the Engine and Machine controls and software division.In your first few weeks in this Electrical Technician role, you should expect to undertake the following:Understanding and applying electrical schematic drawings and pinoutsThe ability to assemble and mechanically build test boxes to a schematic drawing, requiring good mechanical hand skills and ensuring quality in the resultDrilling, tapping, using suitable hand toolsFollowing safety proceduresQuickly building good collaborative working relationships with peers and internal partnersTo apply for this Electrical Technician role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:The assembly of (non-production environment) cabling/harnesses to a schematic drawing and pinout eg: cutting and crimping terminals, soldering and the assembly of connectorsThe ability to assemble and mechanically build test boxes to a schematic drawing , requiring good mechanical hand skills and ensuring quality in the result eg: Drilling, tapping, using suitable hand toolsUnderstanding and applying electrical schematic drawings and pinoutsYou'll receive an excellent contract rate for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.We'd love you to apply for this contract Electrical Technician job, and we're waiting to hear from you.
