Emissions Technician - Peterborough - Up to £30/hr - Inside IR35 - 12 month initial contractJonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Emissions Measurement Technician to join one of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines. 

This role will support the Emissions Measurement Services department in a dedicated state of the art facility in Peterborough.

The role will require the knowledge, base skills, and experience to be able to install, service, calibrate and maintain a fleet of emissions measurement equipment, this will include assisting engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future emissions measurement technologies and processes in a laboratory environment.

To apply for this Emissions Technician role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:Essential:Technical Apprenticeship trained with electro-mechanical bias or equivalent extensive industry experienceExperienced maintainer of measurement equipment / instrumentation.

Understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and permanent corrective actionsPractical experience and theoretical knowledge of gaseous measurement and/or particulate measurement.

Desirable:Experience / Knowledge of Horiba MEXA Gaseous AnalysersExperience / Knowledge of Sierra / Cambustion Particulate Analysers and Partial flow systemsExperience / Knowledge of AVL Smoke / MicroSoot / Opacimeter instrumentsExperience of working in an engine test cell environmentExperience of working in engineering technician role.
