Events Supervisor in Ascot

Events SupervisorCantello Tayler Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Events Supervisor to join our client based in Chertsey.The Events Supervisor will be responsible for:Manage the smooth running of the In Room Dining and Events services following the company standards and procedures.Create and maintain a team environment and motivate and train the team to achieve the required standards and therefore meeting and exceeding the guests' expectations.Ensure that the department is well organised and the required administration is carried out accurately and timely.Day to day direction and allocation of tasks to the team and ensuring efficient staffing levels for the needs of the business.Write rotas and manage shifts patterns taking into account holidays and sickness and ensure accurate record keeping on the relevant systems.Attend weekly function meetings and daily hotel briefingsGuarantee that the highest standard of service and product is delivered to our guests at all times and review regularly.Assist with ordering and stock control whilst controlling operating costs, payroll and expenses against the P&L.Have a high level of presence within the department to lead by example through a 'hands on' approach.Be confident in communicating with guests to ensure that their expectations are met and exceeded by providing a personalised service.Log any guest information accurately,Be responsible of back of house and preparations areas to ensure overall cleanliness and organisation at all times through regular monitoring.Provide knowledgeable food & drinks advice offering suggestions and recommendationsEnsure that all billing and cashiering are conducted as per the required standardsAim to achieve Gallup and Engagement targetsAssist in ensuring that the team aim to achieve financial targets whilst maintaining a cost conscious approach.Manage and deliver an effective training and development system for the team to ensure that they meet the required standards and develop in their roles.Work closely with the Events Operations Manager on any specific projects you have been given responsibility for.The Events Supervisor will have:Hotel school diploma or equivalent5 star hotel experiencePrevious similar experienceFood and wine knowledgeCommercial and Business awarenessExcellent interpersonal skillsLeadership skillsInfluencing skillsTraining skillsComplaint handling/Problem solving skillsIf this Events Supervisor role is of interest to you, please click apply or contact Charlotte Harding in our Egham office
