Financial Director in Wolverhampton

Compensation: £90-95k base plus package

Location: Near Wolverhampton with travel to other sites on occasion

Working Pattern: 2-3 days a week on-site

Eton Bridge Partners is working in partnership with a UK leading SME manufacturing business, to appoint their Finance Director. This is an exciting opportunity as no.1 in finance to partner across the business and leadership team, proactively understanding the business drivers and supporting the growth by delivering on the financial and commercial matters.

Responsibilities:

• Assist preparing the monthly management accounts for UK&I, providing commercial analysis for the division and deliver in a timely and accurate manner.
• Business Partnering with regional/divisional leads, sales and operations, support functions and wider finance teams to help drive business performance.
• Produce, interpret and analyse reports on business performance, providing commentary and recommending solutions.
• Monitor trends in customers spending, suppliers, products and identifying and implementing any issues and opportunities.
• Review and challenge operational costs and areas of efficiencies and margin enhancements
• Work closely with the pricing team, ensuring bidding for profitable growth but to also be competitive
• Review underperforming / loss making contracts - ensuring a performance plan is in place and making recommendations to the business lead
• Assist to prepare half year and year end external audit
• Lead business reviews to improve business performance and productivity

Candidate profile:

• Qualified accountant
• Must have experience in a manufacturing/ industrial/ engineering business
• Cost accounting experience
• Has strong business partnering and commercial/ analysis skills
• Resilient and has brought in change to the business
