we have an exciting opportunity for an fp&a manager to join our high performing commercial finance team here at wagamama we’re looking for a qualified accountant, with previous experience in an fp&a role , who can work closely with multiple, senior stakeholders to lead planning and budgeting processes to drive strategic decision-making and financial performance.
the role |
- lead the end to end financial planning process, including rolling forecasts, annual budget and strategic plan and the 5 year plan
- own the financial models associated with end to end financial planning process
- manage an ongoing schedule of risk and opportunities, communicating these in a timely manner to the finance director, to support the business with the delivery of strategic objectives
- assist in preparation of periodic business performance pack, expertly telling the story of our results whilst ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are engaged
- own annual estates review process and periodic tracking of capital spend vs. budget
- own head office (hq) cost base from both a budgeting and forecast perspective, alongside preparation of monthly variance analysis; liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure costs are well understood and controlled
- be the main point of contact for our group fp&a team and work alongside the group management accounts team to ensure consistency of reporting + messaging
- business partner with the international team, to deliver actionable and insightful commercial analysis, to help drive profitability across our franchise business
- establish strong credibility with the business and other head office departments, working in an engaging, supportive and objective manner
key skills + personal attributes we’re looking for |
- qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- a pro-active, strategic thinker with great attention to detail and accuracy
- proven track record of managing stakeholders internally + externally
- ability to drive a project end to end
- Curious, self-confident, and tenacious with good influencing skills
- gravitas and credibility to work with non-financial stakeholders
- great communicator and relationship builder with all levels
- excellent excel/modelling skills
