The Position

As a member of the Maths Team , the successful candidate will be involved in the production and maintenance of online and retail slot games - from developing an original concept, running Monte Carlo simulations and playtesting games with an internal demo.

You will liaise with a variety of internal teams – primarily the Server-Side Team and the Front-end team – during a games development.

On a day-to-day your responsibilities may include monitoring existing products, internal playtesting/review of current projects, or creating a tool in Python (or another language) to meet a particular need.

A major part of this role is creativity and having a core understanding of probability and statistics to ensure that games are of the highest quality from a mathematical perspective.

Responsibilities

• Assisting relevant teams where necessary in designing, developing and delivering new slot games.
• Taking on any projects as directed, communicating progress and delivering results within deadline.
• Maintaining and monitoring existing games developed by the company.
• Working with colleagues to test out new game ideas.

Required Experience

• working with slot game mathematics.
• undergraduate/master’s degree in mathematics or other numerate disciplines – such as Statistics, Engineering or Physics.
• knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory and Quantitative Analysis.
• knowledge of the Python programming language.
• with the Java programming language and with Microsoft Excel.
• verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• of and experience of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• knowledge of the Java programming language.
• running simulations and knowledge of how to interpret the data.
• interest in and knowledge of combinatorics and probability.
• interest in and knowledge of slot games.
